Homebuyer Consultation

Dwell offers advice to clients who are considering purchasing a new home, providing an independent viewpoint to aid the decision-making process.

Rather than assessing condition and value, and not a substitute for a traditional survey in this respect, our consultation seeks instead to offer qualified advice on possibilities for extension, alteration and improvement.

Our homebuyer consultation includes:

  • Desk-based review of the planning history of the plot and relevant neighbouring properties;
  • Accompanied viewing of the property for up to one hour to assess your requirements against the property and review possibilities for extension, alteration and improvements insitu;
  • Written feedback covering feasibility, planning implications and budget cost advice for the proposed work;
  • Advice on taking the project forward post-purchase.

A consultation fee of £175 inc. VAT is payable for visits local to our Mid-Sussex office.  We will be happy discuss coverage and the possibility of travelling further afield by separate arrangement.

If the purchase is concluded successfully and Dwell are appointed to act as your architects, the consultation fee will be credited to your fee account!
